One of Robert Riddle's Standard Classes designed for British Railways. This class of 3MT 2-6-2T was designed for Branch Line work with 45 being produced for use throughout many parts of the country. The class survived until the end of steam, the last 4 going 1967. None survived to preservation, though a new build locomotive is in the offing.
